The ACE-51 is a motorized rope ascender for work at height. It provides powered ascent and descent on a fixed working rope, under stepless speed control from a thumb lever or a remote control, and it is the lightest powered ascender we stock, at 3.5 kg without its battery.
It is intended for rope-access technicians and industrial maintenance crews who need powered ascent without the weight that normally comes with it. The machine is carried to the anchor by one person, in the same bag as the rest of the kit, and is rigged in minutes.
Power comes from a removable Bosch ProCORE 18V battery — a standard professional tool battery rather than a proprietary pack, so spares and chargers are widely available and a crew that already runs Bosch tools may have both.

Add the complements you need — each is added on its own.
Meet the ACE-51 — a battery-powered rope ascender engineered by ASAT and distributed exclusively in the USA by Skyward Supplies. It delivers powered ascent and descent for rope-access professionals in a body small enough to carry in one hand and light enough to run all day, without compromising on power, control or safety.
If you work at height and need an electric rope ascender that fits in a backpack, deploys in minutes, and runs on batteries you probably already own — the ACE-51 is built for you.
Only 250 × 130 × 170 mm — fits easily in a backpack or kit bag.
Carry it in one hand and clip it to your harness for hands-free transport.
EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC — EN 60204-1, EN ISO 12100, EN ISO 13849-1.
Runs on batteries you can buy anywhere — no proprietary packs, likely already in your kit.
One button — wait for the beep and steady green LED, and you're ready to work.
Stepless speed from the thumb lever; the remote runs the machine at full speed, from beyond 100 m away.
Behind its small footprint is real pulling power. The ACE-51 handles a Working Load Limit of 150 kg (331 lb) with stepless speed control proportional to the thumb lever. Need more capacity? Rig a mechanical-advantage pulley system to reach up to 250 kg (2:1) or 400 kg (3:1). A single charge delivers over 400 m of travel and recharges in under 2 hours.
Every electric ascender lives or dies by its battery. The ACE-51 runs on the BOSCH ProCORE 18V platform — one of the most widely available professional battery systems in the world. No waiting on proprietary packs and no downtime: swap in a battery you can buy almost anywhere, or one that's already in your kit.
Instantly cuts power and locks the device on the rope.
Safe, controlled lowering even if power is ever lost.
A high-traction grooved wheel keeps the rope seated — no slipping — behind a magnetic cover with a secondary lock that won't open under load.
Overheat, motor-stall and overload protection across the battery, drive and motor.
A rope-access technician drives the ACE-51 from its remote control while working on the rope.
A technician operates the ACE-51 on the rope, showing how small the machine is beside the rest of the kit.
A technician demonstrates two of the ACE-51's safety functions: the emergency stop, and hand-controlled manual descent.
