ACE-22 Power Ascender

Backpack-portable powered ascent for vertical, horizontal and inclined work

The ASAT ACE-22 is a compact, backpack-portable powered rope ascender (about 10.5 kg / 23 lb) that can run vertically, horizontally and on inclines — the most portable model in the ACE range.

On an Ø11 mm EN 1891 A semi-static rope with stepless speed, it carries a rated 140 kg (309 lb) — 180 kg working load limit — and ascends at up to 30 m/min and descends at up to 40 m/min, powered or manual. The swappable battery charges in under an hour and covers about 400 m of alternating travel (160 m continuous ascent) at 120 kg, with 0–150 m remote control, an IP54 rating and a −20 to +60 °C range.

Certification: CE marked under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The ACE range is covered by EC type-examination certificate 3400220822, issued by Safenet Certification Services (Notified Body 2805).

Important: a powered ascender is a work/access device used on the working rope. It must always be used together with a separate backup fall-arrest device on an independent safety rope.

The ASAT ACE-22 in the ASAT range

The ASAT ACE-22 power ascender is the one to carry when the machine has to travel sideways as well as up. For the lightest option, the ASAT ACE-51 power ascender weighs 3.5 kg without its battery; for the highest capacity, the ASAT ACE-24 power ascender is rated to 180 kg. All three ASAT power ascenders run on the same Ø11 mm EN 1891 A rope.
