Spider Pro Max Power Ascender

Powered ascent for harsh environments and demanding work at height

The Spider Pro Max (Mode SmartSpider Max) is a battery-powered rope ascender — a compact motorized winch that climbs a fixed rope, carrying a technician or a load of up to 200 kg at up to 22 m/min. With a 450 m round-trip working range per battery (100 kg load) and an IP65 rating, it is the long-endurance model in the SmartSpider line, built for full shifts on towers, facades, bridges and turbines.

For day-to-day rope access — facade work, inspection, telecom and industrial maintenance — the Smart Spider Pro is the everyday machine in the range.

Key features

• 1000 W motor with multi-stage planetary gearbox — constant torque, low heat, precise stepless speed control (ascent 0–22 m/min, descent 0–30 m/min).
• 36 V · 5000 mAh hot-swap Li-ion battery (IEC 62133-2017 certified) with charge/discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection. Full charge in ~140 minutes.
• Variable speed control handle, one-key up/down, emergency stop button, and a mechanical emergency-lowering lever for controlled descent even with electrical failure.
• WiFi app control (Mode app) up to 100 m — operate and monitor battery level remotely, ideal for lifting loads or assisted rescue.
• Rope path with guided rollers and a locking rope-protection cover.

Rope requirement

Use with 10–11 mm EN 1891 semi-static kernmantle rope (sold separately).

Safety notice

The winch is an access device, not a fall-arrest device. During any lifting of persons, the operator must use an independent backup safety system (e.g. a rope-operated fall arrester) installed on a second safety rope of a different color, with a harness suitable for suspended work. Plan the job, prepare a rescue plan, and fully inspect all components before each use, following the manufacturer's instructions.
