The Horizontal Movement Guide (KHMG), manufactured by KODUCT, works together with a KMA powered rope ascender to support safe, controlled horizontal movement along a line. In a typical rig two ropes are installed — an upper and a lower — with the movement guide running on the upper rope and the power ascender on the lower rope.
The KHMG is an access accessory used as part of a KMA powered-ascender system. A powered ascender is a work and access device, not a fall-arrest device: any operation involving people must always include an independent backup fall-arrest system on a separate safety rope, together with a harness suitable for suspended work. Inspect every component before each use and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
