The Foot Strap (LFA-15) is an adjustable webbing foot loop (etrier) used together with a hand ascender to drive yourself up a fixed rope — step into the loop, stand up, slide the ascender, repeat.
It is made from double-layer 22 mm Dyneema webbing that stays stiff so the loop holds its shape and is easy to step into and out of, with a Ø5 mm Dyneema low-elasticity cord connection. The length adjusts from 800 to 1300 mm to suit your reach and stride.
Important: a foot strap is an ascent/positioning aid, not a fall-arrest device. Always use a separate backup fall-arrest system on an independent safety rope.
